.NET Framework 1.0 is the first framework released by Microsoft on Feb. 13, 2002. It was also a part of visual studio.net 2002, which is the first version of Visual studio.net.
.NET Framework 1.1
.NET Framework 1.1 is the first major upgrade of the .NET framework released on April 3, 2003. It is also a part of a visual studio .NET 2003. It includes the additional features of mobile asp.net control, open database connectivity (ODBC) and Oracle database.
.NET Framework 2.0
Framework 2.0 is the second major upgrade of the .NET framework released on Jan 22, 2006. It is also a part of the visual studio .NET 2005 and Microsoft SQL server 2005. It contains new asp.net web control and data control. It also contains a new personalization feature asp such as theme, skin and web part.
.NET Framework 3.0
.NET Framework is a major upgrade released on Nov 21, 2006, and uses the common language runtime(CLR). It includes the following four new technologies.
